I visited Baker & Co for Saturday brunch with a friend. We made a reservation in advance, but the restaurant was fairly empty and still had plenty of seating, so walk-ins may also be possible (how rare in NYC!) We sat "outside" in their heated patio area, which was comfortable. I really enjoyed their eggs in purgatory menu item. It came with two perfectly poached eggs, fresh herbs, and focaccia that was toasted just right. I got a coffee at the end of brunch, and it ended up being a huge cup so pretty great value. Overall, thought the food was great, good value, and convenient. Would definitely recommend for brunch!

The ricotta + focaccia at the beginning was good, but the ricotta did not have much structure and was very liquid-like. That was not necessarily a bad thing since the taste was still creamy and went well with the honey, but if you were expecting the texture to taste more like typical ricotta, this won't be that. Wish we got some more ricotta for the amount of bread they served. The squid ink spaghetti with seafood had the right balance between the amount of pasta and amount of seafood. Loved that they had giant pieces of shrimp. The aperol spritz was also very refreshing. We felt weirdly rushed by the waitress, which was odd considering that there was nobody else in the restaurant and there was plenty of time until the restaurant closed. I will say that the service was prompt and we did not spend much time waiting for our food or drinks. Being seated at the garden was very nice and felt a bit more private, but it probably helped that it wasn't very crowded.

The food was good ( we ordered lasagna and chicken). Attention: Excellent ( quick) The only thing I would have liked to see more cocktail options.

Dinner here was a lovely meal, the seating is pretty tight so it's not the most comfortable, but the branzino was so fresh and paired well with the peas and asparagus as well as the pico de gallo topping. A bite wirh all of them at once was really well balanced. Though it also seems like you couldn't have gone wrong really with any of the mains.

Really yummy Italian food with a cute ambiance! We sat in the back patio area which had the prettiest lights and remained warm despite the cold weather outside. We came with a reservation for five and were promptly seated. For apps we ordered the burrata and fried calamari/shrimp. The burrata was SO good. It was so milky and creamy on the inside and the balsamic glaze really brought out the flavor. We also ordered the fried calamari/shrimp, which was a bit more mediocre. The fried batter was lukewarm and the seafood tasted rubbery. I ordered the seafood squid ink pasta as my main entree! The squid ink pasta was perfectly al dente and the portion sizes were perfect- not too heavy and not too light. I loved the lobster and shrimp inside, and every bite felt like there was some seafood. We ordered the affogato gelato for dessert. Not sure the icecream tasted like mascarpone icecream- it tasted like regular vanilla icecream to me, but the portions were huge- definitely meant for sharing. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely a bit on the pricier side, but a good date night spot!

Great spot for brunch or dinner for a couple or double date. I came w old friends for brunch and their prosciutto Benedict was so good. Great mix of actual egg dish plus sides. Their back patio is so cute, a little crowded but great ambiance. Would love to come back here!

AMAZING quality italian food. You can taste it in both the flavors and the texture. I personally also thought the serving size was absolutely perfect -- but some may call it small. The covered back patio is also absolutely adorable! And wasn't cold even as the temperature was dropping.

Decent Italian place in Greenwich Village, but could use a few improvements. I ordered the Lasagna Pork and Veal Ragu ($23), which was decent, but a bit mushy and not really cheesy. The flavor was pretty good but there wasn't much depth to it, as it was just a single flavor throughout. The top of the lasagna could have been more baked/crisped and the ragu wasn't particularly noteworthy. I also tried the Spaghetti Blank Ink with Swordfish Ragu ($26), which was better than the lasagna. The spaghetti was cooked to a nice firm yet chewy consistency and the swordfish chunks were tasty. There was a sort of olive oil flavor throughout the dish. The best part of this dish was actually the pistachios scattered around, as they added a nice crunch and were tasty and complemented the rest of the dish nicely. The prices here are consistent with those at other similarly nice Italian restaurants. There is a covered patio seating area in the back, which was nice, but quite noisy from he other people seating around. The interior seating area is nice as well with a dimmed lighting kind of romantic atmosphere. The staff were pretty friendly and the service speed was pretty quick. Overall, I'd give Baker & Co 3.5 stars if I could for the decent-but-not-great food and nice but noisy patio seating area.
